Biofuels discussion and controversy

There is an interesting debate raging on the pages of The Guardian, sparked by this article, with some interesting letters in response by some very senior figures.  They all tend to consider the importance of carbon and greenhouse gas emissions, but there are more than technical questions to be answered.
